After the successful launch from Space X,people's acceptance of the concept of private rocket has gradually increased. The aerospace industry, once only a national team,is trying to become a commercial project. In addition to the United States,China has also begun to explore related fields.Several mainstream start-ups have begun to use space as their next destination. What they need to do is not just the Chinese version of Space X.

On the evening of July 5,Beijing Water Cube Stadium. When the design of China's first medium-sized liquid oxygen methane rocket"Zhuque II"was projected on a super-large LED screen nearly 20 meters wide and 10 meters high, more than 200 people under the stage raised their mobile phones to try to record the moment.
This is the product strategy conference held by Beijing Blue Arrow Space Technology Co.,Ltd.(hereinafter referred to as Blue Arrow Space)which has always been low-key.Unlike the suits and leather shoes at the general press conference, all the speakers wore the"standard match"of the"man of science"in the traditional impression:T-shirt,jeans and sports shoes.
At the first large-scale conference held since the establishment of the company,Blue Arrow Space announced that the first commercial medium-sized liquid launch vehicle,"Suzaku II",independently developed in China, had completed the whole system design work, planned to complete all ground tests in 2019 and launch its first flight in 2020.
"Suzaku II"is a two-stage liquid launch vehicle, designed to grow 48.8 meters,3.35 meters in diameter, with a flying Suzaku painted on its body.

In June 2015,Blue Arrow Aerospace was established in Beijing Yizhuang Economic Development Zone.Zhang Changwu, who has been engaged in the financial industry for a long time, noticed the opportunities in the commercial rocket market, and founded the company together with Wang Jianmeng, senior engineer of space systems engineering of China Satellite Launch Measurement and Control Department, and Wu Shufan,an expert of the"Thousand People Program"of the Space Science and Technology Research Center of European Space Agency.
With the successful launch of the Falcon Heavy Launch Vehicle by SpaceX in February this year, commercial rockets and space commercial opportunities have attracted attention.Launch vehicles are no longer just a contest between national teams.
China's private commercial rocket companies have joined the competition. In addition to Blue Arrow, there are two private commercial rocket companies,Beijing Star Glory Space Technology Co.,Ltd.(hereinafter referred to as Star Glory)and Zero Space Space Technology Co.,Ltd.(hereinafter referred to as Zero Space).
"Three Arrowers"Speed Race
"Private rocket companies are entrepreneurs and preachers."Zhang Changwu told Interface News:"The first thing we need to solve is how to achieve the ability of high frequency, high reliability and low cost to enter space."
As the three fastest growing private rocket companies in China,Star Glory,Zero Space and Blue Arrow are competing in speed in commercial rocket launching competitions.
Two months after the establishment of Blue Arrow Space,it also established a zero-space in Yizhuang, with the same working experience in the investment field. He found his teacher at Beijing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics, and also the backbone of China Launch Vehicle Research Institute as a technical partner.By the end of 2015,Zero Space has received 10 million yuan of angel financing.
In March 2016,Blue Arrow also received its own angel round investment.
Seven months later, another competitor was born.In October 2016,several technical backbones of a space academy, including Mao Hongtao, jointly established Star Glory,a small number of private rocket companies sponsored by technicians in China.
Although Star Glory was established late, progress in rocket development is not slow.In April 2018,a year and a half after the establishment of the company, the first solid sub-orbital rocket"Hyperbola-1S"was launched in Hainan. The rocket is a first-stage solid sub-orbital verification rocket. It is 8.4 meters long and weighs 4.6 tons. Its maximum flying altitude exceeds 100 kilometers and its maximum flying speed exceeds 1200 meters/second.
Wu Zhijian, chairman of China Aerospace Foundation, believes that private commercial rocket companies,as an emerging space participation force, will significantly reduce the launch threshold and cost, and will also promote the commercialization of the entire space industry.
Since this year, these three companies have been moving frequently.
On May 17,Zero Space also launched the first independently developed sub-orbital rocket,OS-X rocket"Chongqing Two Rivers Star".The rocket is 9 meters long and weighs 7,200 kilograms. It flies in the atmosphere with a maximum altitude of 38.7 kilometers,a maximum speed of more than 5.7 times the speed of sound,a flight time of 306 seconds and a flight distance of 273 kilometers.

On July 4,Zero Space announced the success of the joint test run of its M series rocket primary main engine and tail gas rudder. The four-stage solid motor series launch vehicle OS-M1 with this engine will fly for the first time at the end of the year.
Earlier in June,Starglory also announced the successful completion of ignition tests on key components of its 15-ton liquid oxygen methane engine.
"In the field of commercial launching, the current global market size is about 20 billion to 30 billion US dollars. It is estimated that by 2020,the market demand for launching services will be about 80 billion US dollars."Zhang Changwu told Interface Journalists that rocket launch capability and launch demand are mutually reinforcing.
